What is a grind and clear floor?

Grind and clear refines your existing concrete instead of covering it. We diamond-grind away the worn top layer, refine the surface, and seal it under a clear, high-gloss topcoat for a long-lasting, natural concrete look.

Will cracks and stains still show?

Grind and clear keeps the natural character of your concrete, so some cracks, repairs and variations in the slab will still be visible. We'll look at your slab first and tell you honestly what to expect. If you want imperfections hidden, a flake system is the better choice.

Is grind and clear slippery?

Like any high-gloss floor, it can be slick when wet. For garages, entries and other wet areas, a textured flake system is usually a better fit.

Where does grind and clear work best?

Large open spaces like retail stores, showrooms, office buildings and warehouses, plus shops, studios and modern homes and basements with concrete in good condition.

How is grind and clear different from a flake floor?

Grind and clear shows off the concrete itself with a high-gloss clear finish. A flake floor covers the slab with a colored decorative flake system that hides imperfections and adds texture. Both are seamless and easy to clean.

How do I clean a grind and clear floor?

Sweep or dust-mop for everyday dirt, and mop with warm water and a mild soap.
