A concrete coating is a high-performance polymer system installed into the surface of your concrete — not painted on top. Revival installs polyurea and polyaspartic floor coatings that mechanically and chemically bond to the substrate, creating a surface 4× stronger than standard epoxy. Depending on slab moisture levels, we may also install a moisture vapor barrier before coating.
We offer flake, quartz, grind-and-clear, and solid-color systems for garages, basements, patios, pool decks, and commercial spaces throughout Greater Des Moines.
✓ Not paint. Not epoxy. A permanent, warranted surface. We use our 800 lb. Lavina diamond grinder to mechanically profile every floor to CSP-3 — the industry standard for maximum adhesion. About one-third of every project is prep.
We also test every slab for moisture vapor transmission and install a moisture vapor barrier when readings warrant it. We never substitute acid washing for mechanical grinding.
Yes. Most residential projects complete in 5–10 hours. You can walk on the floor within 12 hours and drive on it within 24–36 hours.
🚗 Drive in 24–36 hrs · Walk in 12 hrsAbsolutely. Crack and spall repair is a standard part of every Revival installation. We use 100% solids polyurea filler to address cracks and chips before coating. In many cases, coating is more cost-effective than slab replacement.
Our polyurea basecoat can be installed in temperatures as low as −20°F — a major advantage over epoxy in cold Iowa winters.
Clear everything off the floor — vehicles, bikes, shelving, and storage bins. We handle dust containment with HEPA filters, vacuuming, and cleanup.
Polyurea is 4× stronger than standard epoxy, cures in hours, stays flexible under Iowa temperature swings, and bonds permanently to properly prepared concrete. Standard epoxy is rigid, moisture-sensitive, yellows under UV, and typically fails within 3–5 years.
✓ 4× Stronger · UV Stable · Same-Day CurePolyaspartic is engineered for UV stability, optical clarity, and superior surface hardness. It's the final topcoat that locks in the flakes, delivers the gloss, and protects against chemicals and wear for the life of the floor.
No. Our UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat resists yellowing for the full life of the floor. Yellow or orange floors you've seen elsewhere are almost always degraded epoxy — typically within 12–18 months of UV exposure.
Yes. Our standard vinyl flake system already provides meaningful grip. For pool decks, commercial kitchens, or entryways, we add anti-slip aggregate into the polyaspartic topcoat for traction even when wet.
It depends on condition. If still tightly bonded, we can grind and coat over it. If it's peeling, bubbling, or delaminating, it must be fully removed first. We assess at no cost during every free estimate.
Most residential garage floor coatings in Greater Des Moines range from $1,500 to $4,500. A standard two-car garage typically falls in the $1,800–$3,200 range.
We provide a firm, all-inclusive on-site quote before any work begins — no hidden fees. Evening and Saturday appointments available.

Sweep or dust-mop for everyday dirt. Mop with warm water and mild soap — Dawn or Simple Green work great. Avoid abrasive scrub pads or harsh solvents. No resealing required under normal use.
Our polyaspartic topcoat is highly resistant to oil, gas, transmission fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze, and most automotive chemicals. The non-porous surface prevents liquids from soaking in. Wipe spills promptly — staining is not a concern under normal use.
